Microsoft Portrait, developed by Microsoft Research Asia, is the first research prototype for mobile video communication. With this new update, now it can support mobile devices running Microsoft Window Mobile 2005 with ARM series CPUs, as means that it can support any built-in or plug-in cameras and even choose one from among multiple cameras.Version 3.0 Beta for Pocket PC has been released.

New Internet Domain Names Soon?

Two new Internet domain names脙垄芒鈥毬⑩偓聺”.post” and “.travel”脙垄芒鈥毬⑩偓聺could appear online as early as next year as the Internet’s key oversight board announced preliminary approval on Wednesday.The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, in advancing the applications for postal services and the travel industry, said they were still considering eight other proposals including “.asia,” “.jobs,” and “.xxx.” Separately, “.eu” for the European Union also is in the works.

ICANN said the decision on “.post” and “.travel” had less to do with relative merit and was primarily based on the level of technical and commercial details their sponsors were able to quickly provide.
